2021

Ph. D. Banking & Finance

Admitted to Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2017 for a Ph.D. program in Banking & Finance, & completed the program in 2021.

2015

M. Sc. Banking & Finance

Admitted to Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2017 for a Ph. D. program in Banking & Finance, a program which was completed the in 2021.

2008

B. Sc. Banking & Finance

Graduated from University of Abuja with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Banking and Finance as a member of the pioneer set of the department.

Education

Dr. Ali Jude Igyo is a University of Abuja alumnus with a strong academic background. He earned a BSc in Banking and Finance (2008), followed by an MSc (2015) and Ph.D (2021) in the same field from University of Agriculture, Makurdi (now Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University) and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, respectively.  

Service

Dr. Ali has extensive experience in leadership and group dynamics. As an undergrad, he held various positions in student associations. After graduating, he served as PRO and Secretary-General of University of Abuja Alumni Association (Benue State Chapter). In keeping with his calling to serve, he resigned from BIRS after a 12-year career to run for a House of Representatives seat.

Career

Dr. Ali has held various roles, including part-time lecturer and positions at Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS). He rose through the ranks to Area Tax Officer, significantly increasing internal revenue in his areas. He retired as Senior Inspector of Taxes in 2022 to run for office. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Mewar International University and SSA to the CEO of Nigerian Shippers Council.
